Candlelight memorial

Every year candles are lit to honour, both those who lost their fight with cancer and those who have fought and WON!

This is a great tribute and you cannot help but spend some of your time reading the messages as you walk around the track.

Hundreds of candles line the track.                                   I lit one for 'Pickles' and Al Thomson (fighting hard)

Dedications from Sean and Vanessa Tu.                     One for a true fighter, Kathy Seeley.

Fundraising Head Shave

In total I raised around $1,200 for the Mighty Ducks (cancer fund raising group) by having my head shave.  I offered this in support of a lady in our group.  Two other members of the Mighty Ducks offered to lose hair, one had his legs waxed and the other lost a moustache that he had had for 24 years.

Gone!!!!                                                                         The final product - Cheryl's the goodlooking one.

I can't hog all the limelight.  Here are fellow Mighty Ducks who also lost some hair.

Rob Thomas (Senior Constable, Salisbury) leg wax.          Steve losing his 24yr moustache!

Not to be outdone my 17yr old son, Matthew decided that he would get in on the act.  We had been putting pressure on him to get a hair cut for a long time.  We know that his school would not allow a shaved head (which he wanted) but he was content with a very short hair cut.
